Ms. Alfia Sarwar Ali's journey with Atif Suhrawardy & Partners began during her law school years, first as a Legal Intern and later as an Associate Intern, before joining the Firm as an Associate in January 2026. She holds a B.A. LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, and is enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi.
Her practice spans arbitration, corporate compliance and commercial litigation. On the transactional side, she has been actively involved in drafting, reviewing and vetting a wide range of commercial agreements, including Tripartite Agreements, Channel Partner Agreements, Lease and License Deeds, Vendor Agreements, Employment Agreements, Candidate Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Addendums.
She has also assisted in preparing internal policy documentation, conducting legal due diligence, monitoring statutory compliances, regulatory reporting and compliance tracking. Her work ensures adherence to applicable legal and regulatory frameworks while supporting clients' commercial objectives.
In the area of litigation and dispute resolution, Ms. Ali has attended arbitration proceedings, briefed Senior Advocates ahead of hearings and appeared in matters before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court and the District Courts of Delhi. She has also assisted in proceedings relating to an Original Application before the National Green Tribunal, Delhi.
Apart from litigation, she regularly undertakes legal research on corporate law, employment and labour laws, sector-specific regulatory requirements and internal compliance frameworks. She has further contributed to litigation support by preparing pleadings, legal notices and replies.
Ms. Ali possesses strong expertise in legal research, contract drafting, arbitration, corporate advisory, regulatory compliance, risk assessment and dispute management. She is also proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, SCC Online and Manupatra, enabling efficient legal research and document management.
